NEWS : Last meeting of
EUWOG Members : June 15th 1999 Marseille France:
The president J Kazar
thanks Euwog members for their participation in the organisation
of the Marseille's Conference on Rickettsia and Rickettsial disease
and wish that Euwog will continue to improve contact and collaborative
work among European Rickettsiologist. He recalls that we are included
as a part of the European Society for Clinical Microbiology
and Infectious Diseases ( ESMID). New elected officers for the
next 4 years are listed above.
The Next International meeting on Rickettsiae and ricketstial
diseases has been proposed to be held either in Slovakia ( R Toman)
or in Slovenia (T. Avsic-Zupanc)
A scientific session on Rickettsia should be held concomitantly
with the next meeting of the ESMID in May 2000 in Stockolm where
we shall held our next EUWOG Meeting
